PH Lifestyle house rules
And what we keep about you. Short on purpose.
Who can play
- You must be 18 or older. The city has night life, dating and real-money top-ups.
- One person, one player. Do not share your password, and do not sell or trade accounts.
How to behave
- Everyone you see is a real person online, except the people marked NPC. Treat them like it.
- No harassment, threats, hate, sexual talk with someone who does not want it, or anything about children.
- No scams, no begging for real money, no selling things outside the game.
- Links and phone numbers are blocked in chat. Do not try to get around it.
- You can mute anyone, and you can report anyone. A report sends us the last few lines that person said in the room.
- You can only call or message people who are your friends in the game.
- Breaking these rules can get a player muted, reset or removed.
Game money and real money
- Naira in the game is play money. It cannot be withdrawn, sold or turned back into real money.
- Top-ups are optional. The payment company takes the payment; we never see or store your card details. We keep the payment reference, the pack and the amount so we can credit you and handle refunds.
- There is a daily limit on top-ups.
Crime, robbery and the bank
- Crime in Garden City is play. Nobody dies: someone who is hurt goes to hospital and pays the bill.
- Players can rob each other on the street, but only the cash being carried. Savings, offshore money, homes, cars, land, companies, outfits and furniture can never be taken.
- Anyone being robbed always gets a card first. If they do not choose within 15 seconds, the cash is handed over.
- The BVN at Garden City Bank is a game number made by the game (it looks like PH-XXXX-XXXX). Never type your real BVN, bank account or card number anywhere in the game.
What we keep
- Your player: the name you chose, your look, your money, homes, cars, job, friends and progress.
- Your account, if you sign up: your username, a scrambled (salted and hashed) form of your password that cannot be read back, and your email if you gave one. Email is optional and is only for account recovery.
- What you send: messages to friends in the phone, photos you post in the game, and reports.
- On your device: a sign-in key in your browser's storage so you stay logged in, plus your sound and graphics settings. No cookies.
- Visit counting: a cookieless counter (Sitepulse) notes each page visit: the page address, where you came from, time spent, screen width, language and time zone. It is not used for advertising.
- Public visitors: the counter beside online players uses Sitepulse's recorded visitor total. Its cookieless IDs reset daily, so a returning visitor can count again on another day. The counter only reads aggregate statistics and does not record additional visits.
- For safety: your network address is used for a short time to slow down spam and password guessing.
Voice calls connect your browser directly to your friend's browser, so that friend's device can see your network address during a call. Calls are not recorded by us.
Guests
You can play as a guest without an account. Guest progress is saved, but clearing browser data removes your access to that player. Add a username and password from Phone → Settings to recover the same player and to log in on another device.
Lost password
If you verified your email in Phone → Settings, tap Forgot your password? on the log-in screen: we email you a code that works for 15 minutes, and you pick a new password. Forgot your username? emails you the usernames on a verified email. These emails go out through Resend, an email service. No verified email? Write to support from the email on your account. Keep your password safe.
Leaving
Log out from Phone → Settings. To have your player and account deleted, ask the people who run this server.
These rules can change as the game grows. Carrying on playing means you accept the current version.
